Six students of 20 years old from Chiari and surroundings participated in the Youth Exchange “Thanks is enough” from 4 to 13 July situated in Karlòw, Czech Republic. The group was coordinated by the project manager of Youmore Morcelli Giovani Justina Krauledaité and was composed of Jessica Onger and Martina Mezzasalma from Castelcovati, Oksana Yarmolyuk from Pontoglio, Maria Marra from Ghedi and Anastasia Oss from Trento, who joined the project as a winner of the photography course 2015 organized by the Eurodesk Agency of Chiari.
“Thanks is enough” means “Thanks may be enough” – explains us the young Ukrainian Oksana Yarmolyuk from Pontoglio who attends the fourth year of the course as a technician of enterprise services at the CFP Zanardelli in Chiari. In fact, it takes very little to bring near different people with a positive and welcoming attitude. We have experienced it during the Youth Exchange in Karlòw where we were about forty young people from Italy, Turkey, Czech Republic, Slovakia, Lithuania and Romania. The group activities, energizers and interpersonal discussions helped us to overcome the barriers due to the different origins with the use of English. The days passed too quickly between Toga Party, Intercultural Night and The unforgettable Night Challenge, an exploratory night tour of seven hours including an hour in total darkness and an hour of silence during the tour. With this European project NOW I really feel a citizen of the world. The initiative of Youth Exchange with receiving of YouthPass at the end guaranteed to participants food and accommodation, in addition to reimbursement of 100 % of the travel costs.
“From Karlòw – Jessica Onger added – we visited the university city of Olomouc with the famous Column of the Holy Trinity, heritage of humanity UNESCO and we also reached the famous brewery Holba known around the world for the production of beer since a thousand years. As a result of the project “Thanks is enough” we contributed to the creation of videos with photo story and meme on our experience. Even this can help increase the interest to initiatives of Eurodesk Agency of Chiari. In addition, Youmore Morcelli Giovani has other new proposals – projects in Czech Republic and in Germany for young people who want to discover Europe after a summer period.
“Speaking about experience abroad which was completely free for me – Oksana Yarmolyuk said – is the best way to find out the projects like that which I would like to repeat soon. I mean thanks to Youmore I had the possibility to improve my English and to travel abroad for free. I knew about Youmore Morcelli Giovani from my professor Laura Saviori from the CFP Zanardelli in Chiari, who collaborate with the project managers of Eurodesk Agency in Via San Sebastiano 1.
