Concetta Sergi of 25 years old graduated in Motoric Science at University of Brescia has just arrived from the Training Course “Don’t be afraid of immigration” which was hold in Tarnow, Poland. Thanks to the Eurodesk Agency from Chiari, Youmore Morcelli Giovani, she can’t wait to start a new trip again: she would like to take a part in some EVS project in South America.
“I saw the participation in this project in Poland as a start of my new my international experience – says Concetta who went abroad for the first time in her life thanks to the international initiative coordinated by Youmore and the Poland association Jamna, which after two other already realised projects became a reliable partner of the Eurodesk Agency in Via San Sebastiano 1. In the Training Course “Don’t be afraid of immigration” in Tarnow from 6th to the 13th of July participated around 30 youngsters coming from France, Hungary, Romania, Poland, Cyprus, Turkey, Ukraine and Slovakia. In the Italian group there were also Alessia Palma of 25 years old from Dalmine and Stefania Grottola of 21 years old from Grottaglie (Taranto).
We had 5 intensive days full of different activities, conversations and debates about the immigration in several European countries. We also discussed the actual situation about Brexit and some problems on the border coming from the more and more intensive immigration towards Europe which were illustrated during the meeting with a member of the Poland Parliament. During this Training Course I had a chance to improve my English language skills and I also had an opportunity to evaluate how much Italy, its culture and its gastronomy are
appreciated abroad. Moreover, I made a short video to help the other guys to understand some simple Italian phrases and to interpret the typical Italian gesture which makes us different in our way to communicate. We also visited Tarnow e Krakow and at the end of the course all participants received YouthPasses, certificates of the training course attendance. All costs for accommodation, food and travel tickets were covered at 100%.
Now I am ready to participate in other international projects and to discover Europe with Youmore Morcelli Giovani!”
