From the 13th to the 16th of July the project manager of Youmore Morcelli Giovani Uliana Bychkova represented the Eurodesk Agency from Chiari at the international meeting “Volunteering for acceptance and tolerance” in Kumanovo, Republic of Macedonia. The members of the acreditated agencies of the Erasmus Plus Program coming from Greece, Slovakia, Republic of Macedonia, Italia and Turkey got confronted on the delicate and actual subject of accepting and integrating the immigrants and the refugees. It were also discussed the criteria about the realization of a big project of integral accepting of young people to the European Voluntary Service (EVS), promoted by the Macedonian Agency CID in partnership with the Countries that share the same initiative. The Fondazione Istituto Morcelliano actually has already activated this canal of European collaboration with the arrival in Chiari on the 10th of June, from the Republic of Macedonia, of two EVS volunteers Tamara Petrushevska and Sandra Denkovska – both of them graduated in Italian language and culture at the University in Skopje, the capital of Macedonia- who for two months until the end of August are helping in the educative equip of the Eurodesk Agency in Chiari Youmore Morcelli Giovani. The project of exchange of the EVS volunteers, born to help the integration of the European scale, has been promoted by the Macedonian agency CID, which works as a coordinating and sending center, and the other partner agencies in other Countries are taking care of the accommodation and the pocket money.
“The other Countries are still elaborating the projects of sending EVS volunteers starting from October, together with the Macedonian agency CID, agency from Hungary, Turkey, Finland and Slovakia – précised Uliana Bychkova – Youmore Morcelli Giovani has already entered in the operating phase of this project. Tamara Petrushevska and Sandra Denkovska, as EVS volunteers of the Fondazione Istituto Morcelliano, are already included in Grest as qualified educators in elementary and medium aged kids at the Youth Center 2000. That’s why, at the international meeting in Kumanovo I showed to my other colleagues the experience they have in Chiari and the way it has been realized by choosing the candidates based on their experience two months before they came, by a Skype interview. At the end of the service made in several Countries, the EVS volunteers will make a video so as to be able to document, in the different things he/she has experienced, the level of the integration they have as immigrants and refugees. Also, the Fondazione Istituto Morcelliano has already planned to accept another two volunteers for the next year, collaborating with the Macedonian Agency CID, to come to Chiari for a period of two months.” All of the participants on the meeting in Kumanovo have received full refund of the food and accommodation and 100 % refund of the traveling tickets.
