During one week, 1 December – 8 December 2016, a group from Chiari high school ”Einaudi” participated in the Erasmus+ project which was organized in Spain in Andalusa, Lucena.
6 Italian students were accompanied by a teacher, who was a group leader for them. Together we worked with other youngsters from different European countries as Bulgaria, Spain, Romania and Greece. In total the work group included 40 participants and the project title was “I don’t have a job, but I am working on it”.
lucena-2Lucena is a wonderful city, located between Siviglia and Malaga. Javi, the project manager, welcomed us to his cultural centre, which was a typical structure for this city.
The project, which was running in English, is a part of different Erasmus+ projects, dedicated to learning through different activities, games, improvisations, group working, workshops and so on.
The experience from this project can be described like intensive, special, amazing and unforgettable (for participants and organizers). The days passed very quickly during energizers (special group games which are played before main activities). Every moment brought something new and we never knew what finally we would do.
Also every group had a chance to present the country with their traditional games, music, dances, dishes, films. These presentations brought a lot of new emotions and discussions among participants.
We have tried Bulgarian and Romanian dances, Spanish flamenco and we took a chance to teach others Italian gestures and some typical phrases.
Also we visited Andalusa with a treasure hunt game, andlucena-3 after that we made a guide tour around the city. We even could participate in mannequin challenge with local citizens eating paella and tapas.
One thing, which everybody improved during the project, is English skill. Every activity was run in English. The participants had a chance to build new friendships, find out cultural differences and exchange their ideas during games and workshops.
Everybody is looking for the same thing; a good and interesting job, travelling, games, dances, discovering new things, learning, fun, making new friends, emotional moments and, why not, doing something for others as a Bulgarian girl and Greek boy told about the volunteer experience in a camp for refugees in Greece.
In Lucena there was a piece of Europe future and this piece was bright, fun, always ready to laugh and fall in games, serious and we are proud of this experience

The group leader, Elena Zanetti
