On 26th of May Youmore Morcelli Giovani project coordinator Sona Arevshatyan returned from Vila da Marmeleiro close to Lisbon, where was held PBA – Partnership Building Activity organized by National Agency for Youth of Norway into the activity were invited youth workers who are developing their competences in youth mobility field. There were 25 participants from Turkey, Norway, Portugal, France, Cyprus, Croatia and Italy. Wide range of countries made this “North – South contact making” which let us promote our project and get closer to the local Portuguese community where we were hosted – said Sona Arevshatyan – Portugal is a wonderful country!We were hosted in a village only with 450 inhabitants who welcomed us like real friends. All participants were divided into six groups. Each group had its’ own house which was left by local families who were abroad. We were divided into six groups, distributed to the houses of some Portuguese families emigrated abroad a
nd forms available to host temporary. Me and my group were invited to a traditional Portuguese dinner in the house of a famous bullfighter in the area. It was a great unique experience and even greater fun to stay with local family, more over tasting typical cuisine and home-made food. During the week of the project we exchanged contacts within the group. All participants had valuable experience to share about their realized projects. We also had a quality time to discover beauties of the village. Most important part of the activity was sharing experiences while intercultural evening allowed us to know better and more about different participants and their countries.
The Secretary of the Embassy of Norway expressed his wish for future collaboration and interest in working with Youmore Morcelli Giovani. Nine future projects – eight youth exchanges and one study visit- have been discussed and waiting the answer till 1st of July for future collaboration with European partners with a possibility to bring new projects for our youngsters. This, in simple words, means that Youmore Morcelli Giovani is not a “travel agency” but searches for mobility opportunities for young generation. Our main goal is to answer all the questions and help our young people from 18 to 30 years old find the best project for them and feel bigger part of European Community, encourage them share their ideas, develop their initiatives and make contacts with foreign partners. Our European partners have noticed the variety of activities of Youmore Morcelli Giovani which are already available for collaboration with them. As youth workers in Chiari we intend to continue developing projects for youngsters through Erasmus Plus programme. Soon we will propose different experience abroad also for youngsters, aged 14 to 18 years old.
